'Queer Eye', the hit Channel 4 show, wanted Ramsay, the foul-mouthed former professional footballer, to appear in a celebrity special.
Ramsay is preparing to launch 'Hell's Kitchen' in the US having signed a deal with Rupert Murdoch's Fox TV.
Unlike the British programme, the US contestants will not be minor celebrities but members of the public who want to make it as chefs. The winner will receive their own Hollywood restaurant worth more than $2m (£1.08m).
Filming will begin next month and the show will air on Fox on Friday nights. It will be screened in the UK on ITV1
Ramsay, 37, said: "I'm happy with my look and style. I've a huge gay following so must be doing something right."
ITV1 recently screened 'Hell's Kitchen School Reunion', a one-hour special in which Jennifer Ellison, the winner, and runner-up James Dreyfus catered for 250 children at Ramsay's old school.
The celebrity chef said he would not make another series of 'Hell's Kitchen' for ITV1 because of the huge time commitment involved.
However, Ramsay has signed a £1m golden-handcuffs deal with Channel 4 and will make another series of his troubleshooting programme, 'Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares'.
