The ad, which has been produced by Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, features a young boy awaiting delivery of his Radio Times 'Doctor Who' sticker album, only for his sister to beat him to it when his home-made robot costume gets stuck in a doorway.
Featuring a voiceover from Sean Pertwee, son of the third Doctor Who, Jon Pertwee, the ad includes the tagline "just make sure you get yours".
Each issue of Radio Times, which is out May 9, will include a Merlin 'Doctor Who' sticker album and a set of 12 stickers. The next three issues of Radio Times will include sticker packets to complete a poster and get fans' sticker collections under way.
Kathy Day, Radio Times publisher, said: "Our new 'Doctor Who' promotion and TV campaign reinforces Radio Times' position as the UK's premier listings magazine and is part of our continuing strategy to deliver the best value package in the market."
The BBC's new 'Doctor Who' series, which began last month, stars David Tennant as the new Doctor and Billie Piper as his sidekick Rose.
BBC Magazines, which produces Radio Times, unveiled Doctor Who Adventures, a title aimed at children, on April 5.
