LONDON - The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) is to invest £3m in an ad-funded partnership intended to help brands get more from their radio campaigns.

Speaking yesterday at a conference addressing the future of the UK commercial radio sector, RAB chief executive Simon Redican said the group would work with advertisers to ensure that they get the support that is most relevant to the challenges facing their brands. ‘This could take the form of research, creative consultation or idea generation sessions with top programmers,' he added.

Leading UK radio chief executives Ashley Tabor (Global Radio), Dee Ford (Bauer Radio), Donnach O'Driscoll (Absolute Radio), Scott Taunton (UTV), and Stuart Taylor (GMG Radio) - outlined their visions for the commercial sector at the event, while Global Radio's Richard Park spoke to 150 customers along with RadioCentre's chief executive Andrew Harrison.
