The RAC has recruited Ken Lee, marketing director at Hyundai UK, as

its new group marketing director.

The move comes as Lex Service, owner of Hyundai and more recently

purchaser of the RAC, looks to extend the RAC brand across its whole car

services business.

Lee will sit on the RAC board and will report to newly appointed RAC

chief Graeme Potts, who takes up his post in August once Lex’s pounds

437m bid is completed.

Lee will oversee all internal and external communications at the RAC,

including advertising, marketing and public relations activities. He

will be based at the head office in Feltham and will be responsible for

a pounds 4.5m annual spend.

RAC advertising is handled by M&C Saatchi on the creative side, with

media by BBJ.
