The Radio Advertising Bureau has appointed Redican as its new managing director.
Redican is currently the director of strategy and business development at Times Newspapers.
His appointment comes as the RAB gears up for a relaunch as part of the expanded RadioCentre under chief executive Andrew Harrison. Martina King, the former Yahoo! UK and Ireland managing director, was recently appointed as the non-executive chairman of the RAB.
Redican joined Times Newspapers from Classic FM, where he was the group head of sponsorship. Before that he was head of planning at Starcom Mediavest.
Next week the RAB is set to unveil a range of initiatives for agencies and advertisers, including recommendations for improving trading systems and incentivising agencies to buy radio.
