The company has also hired Steven Sander. Previously freelancing, he shot Lowe's "parking
Withabix spot for Weetabix through Union.
The two will work alongside the firm's existing directors, the managing director and the creative director Trevor Robinson and Kevin Chicken. The firm and the creative agency will share a base.
Robinson said the creative agency had boosted its business by more than half, winning a brief from Golden Wonder, a project from the Greater London Authority and the account for the Emap-owned title, Bliss.
"The agency has had a great six months, and we're pleased with our growth and new-business conversion,
he said. "The launch is a natural step and underpins our aim to provide clients with better results and service for their money. We're excited about bringing Jamie and Steven on board, and the new direction Quiet Storm is taking. We feel it is important to establish the production side of the business as an independent entity,
Robinson added.
Quiet Storm's production arm has produced and directed ads for Listerine and Sony PlayStation with agencies J. Walter Thompson and TBWA/London.
