Lionel Messi stars as a dance instructor and Gerard Piqué plays a customs officer in a new TV ad for Qatar Airways, which has employed a host of Barcelona star players in odd situations to promote its sponsorship of the club. The spot, by 180 Amsterdam, opens with a Qatar Airways plane landing in Barcelona. After a tour of the city, the camera follows the crowds to a match at Camp Nou. The players appear in various guises doing everyday jobs – with a cameo from Gary Lineker as a taxi driver. The work ends with the line: "Qatar Airways and FC Barcelona. A team that unites the world." It was written by Will Lowe, art directed by Victor Monclus and directed by Nick Gordon through Somesuch & Co.
