Puttnam's advertising career started in the 1960s, when he worked at Collett Dickinson Pearce alongside luminaries such as the Saatchi brothers and the film directors Ridley Scott and Alan Parker.
Profero was founded by Wayne and Daryl Arnold in 1998 and now has offices in 12 countries and employs more than 200 staff.
Its clients include Channel 4, Mini and Dyson.
