Dubbed the "Togcast", for Terry's old geezers and gals, it will feature a compilation of weekly highlights from his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, including listener's emails and the "Pause for Thought" segment.
"Every week you can download all the usual, highly crafted, carefully wrought banter onto your new MP3 player -- without all that unnecessary music getting in the way of all my best lines," Wogan said.
Wogan, who is famous for his sardonic commentary of the Eurovision Song Contest, which criticises its predictable tactical voting patterns, said he was eager to embrace new technology after initially being reluctant to try podcasting.
"I've given up trying to beat 'em, so now I'm joining 'em and I'm going to do it better than all the others. Look, Ma -- I'm Togcasting."
The podcast, which is part of a BBC trial, will run until the middle of the year. 'Wake up to Wogan' features on BBC Radio 2 every weekday morning from 7.30am.
Wogan follows others at the BBC including Radio 1 breakfast show presenter Chris Moyles and Jeremy Paxman over on BBC Two's 'Newsnight' among others.
