Publishers in web link with finance comparison site

Associated Newspapers and the Telegraph Group have signed up to a service that enables readers to view all their finances online.

The service is the first online account aggregation system launched by non-financial services brands. It also compares users' financial products with those of other providers and suggests where consumers can make savings by switching their business.

Associated Newspapers' thisismoney.co.uk site and money.telegraph.co.uk have signed the agreement with Moneysupermarket.com, a company that allows consumers to shop online for the best deals in financial services.

After users enter their name and passwords for their various financial services accounts, the aggregation system sources each account individually and collates the information to present it on a single page.

Moneysupermarket and its media partners generate commission from every user who switches account providers.

The Telegraph Group and Associated Newspapers will advertise the launch in their publications.
