Publicis sees growth in all markets

Publicis Groupe's revenues were up 6.8% year-on-year in the first half of 2006, with growth reported in all markets.

European revenues were up by 6.3%, driven by new accounts, while the biggest boost came from Africa and the Middle East, which were up by 51.9%.
The group recorded revenues of E21.22m (£1.45bn) for the six months and won $1.6bn (£861m) in new business.
Highlights included ZenithOptiMedia's win of Beam Spirits & Wine's global media planning and buying, Del Monte's European account, won by Starcom MediaVest's, and Toshiba's creative digital account in the UK and Europe, won by Saatchi & Saatchi.
Much of the growth came in the second quarter, in which revenues were up by 7.3%.
Net income was up by 50% year-on-year to £180m, while operating margin grew from 14.9% to 15.2%, which Publicis aims to increase to 16.7% in 2008.
