Publicis exec takes up marketing post at M&S

LONDON - Marks & Spencer has poached Jude Bridge, a director in charge at Publicis, to be its new head of external marketing.

Bridge, who will join Marks & Spencer in September, will report to group marketing director Alan McWalter. Her task will be to oversee the retailer's customer-focused external marketing strategy.

The move is a return to the client side for Bridge, who began her career at Unilever in 1983. In 1995, she moved to United Biscuits, where she climbed the ranks to become international brands director. Last year, she moved to Publicis, where she worked on integrated campaigns involving direct marketing, online marketing, traditional advertising and point-of-sale.
