The two Publicis Groupe agencies partnered to win the car manufacturer’s European business during a competitive pitch. They will work with Honda to develop social activity for the brand.
The focus will be on developing and implementing a data strategy across bought, owned and earned channels, as well as managing communities and creating social
content.
Lost Boys will take the leadership role on the account and assume responsibility for social operations, while SMV will handle community management and social publishing. The team will be run from the agencies’ London offices.
Kate Saxton, the Honda European PR communications manager, said: "We chose to appoint Lost Boys and Starcom because they offered us a holistic solution, and we’re confident that they will provide outstanding strategic and creative leadership.
"We’re looking forward to working in partnership with them to reinvigorate our social presence across Europe."
Lost Boys is DigitasLBi’s social agency that was rebranded from MRY in September.
Honda kicked off its pan-European social media review in June. There was no incumbent on the account.
