Publicis acquires top Indian marketing services company

PARIS - Publicis Groupe is to acquire a 60% stake in Indian marketing services firm Solutions Integrated Marketing Services.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in New Delhi, Solutions has 200 full-time staff and six offices in India and a subsidiary in Singapore. The deal, for an undisclosed sum, is subject to the approval of the Indian government's Foreign Investment Promotion Board.

Solutions will join Publicis Groupe's existing strong presence in India through Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Starcom MediaVest Group, ZenithOptimedia, and Publicis India and Publicis Ambience.

Maurice Levy, chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe, said: "Specialised agencies and marketing services is a key investment area for the group, and this is especially true in fast-growing economies such as India. The Solutions teams under the leadership of Srikant Sastri are world-class, and they will find with Publicis Groupe formidable opportunities for their future."
