Promotion for Thomas sparks RMG reshuffle

Trefor Thomas, the executive creative director at RMG Connect, has been promoted to executive creative director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, prompting a restructure of the agency's creative department.

Lyndon Hale, the executive creative director at Wheel, will join the agency as its joint executive creative director, to partner Guy Bradbury, who has been promoted from creative director. Both will report to the RMG Connect chief executive, Jonathan Harman. Hale is expected to start on 1 September.

Thomas will now focus on building growth across the EMEA region, while Hale's appointment signals RMG Connect's intention to build on its existing digital offering. Katrina Howell's role as the interactive creative director remains unchanged.

Harman said: "Today's customer relationships are managed on- and offline, so it's important that we have world-class creative leaders from both worlds. In Guy, Lyndon and their team in London, we have an enormous breath of talent we can offer to our clients."

Hale has been the executive creative director at Wheel since March, when he was promoted following the departure of Chris Clarke, who left to join Modem Media as its European creative director.

In the same month, Wheel's parent company, LB Icon, merged with the digital agency Framfab. David Hurren, the creative director of Framfab, will now take sole responsibility as the creative director of the merged group.

Thomas has been at RMG since September 2004. Before that, he was the executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi X. Bradbury joined as creative director in December 2004, also from Saatchi & Saatchi X, where he was the integrated creative director.
