Prize draw: Brands sign up for football week

Budweiser, Carlsberg and Pepsi are among the 11 major drinks brands supporting September's National Pub Football Week, with promotions rolling into 18,000 pubs nationwide.

Landlords at Punch Taverns and Enterprise Inns can choose from a range of promotional kits to meet their pubs' needs.

Carling and Carlsberg are offering prize draw kits, with Carling's tailored to English, Welsh and Scottish supporters, offering home-nation T-shirts and flags. Carlsberg's gives consumers the chance to win flags and England T-shirts.

Pepsi, Budweiser, Heineken, Kronenbourg, WKD and Greene King are offering scratchcard promotions. The top prize for Pepsi is a training session with England star David Beckham. Budweiser, Heineken, Kronenbourg and Greene King also have bespoke merchandise up for grabs.

WKD is offering prizes of inflatable goals and balls.

San Miguel has trivia-based gamecards, with polo shirts, scarves and thundersticks up for grabs. Coca-Cola's kit is based on awareness POP and Guinness' will provide personalised football shirts for bar staff in a bid to encourage trade participation.

Pubs supporting the week, 3-8 September, will receive POP and a share of two million dripmats.

The push is being managed by Lords Marketing.
