Pretzel brand set for bag overhaul

LONDON - Intersnack is relaunching its Penn State pretzels brand with packaging designed to strengthen its appeal to female consumers.

Packaging for the range will feature a predominantly black background, as opposed to the lighter background colour it used previously.

The 'Baked to an authentic American recipe' strapline will be retained across the three flavours: Original Sea Salted, Sour Cream and Chive, and Sweet and Spicy Salsa.

The relaunch will be promoted through a sponsorship deal with Sky Movies Drama, sustained consumer activity and press advertising.
