Presky Maves hires former Jaguar global marketing director

LONDON - Presky Maves has hired veteran marketing director Martin Runnacles, who is coming out of retirement to help develop its business.

Runnacles took early retirement last November from Jaguar, where he was global marketing director.

He has 30 years' experience as a marketer, particularly in the car industry. He has been marketing director at BMW and Rover, and director of e-commerce at luxury car dealership Sytner Group.

Outside of the car industry, he has worked at Courage Brewing and Beecham Foods, and has chaired the Committee of Advertising Practice.

Robin Presky, founder of Presky Maves, said: "Martin Runnacles adds real firepower to our armoury. His vast experience and industry knowledge are invaluable. I know he will be instrumental in the further development of Presky Maves."

Runnacles, who is claimed to be the only marketer to have twice won the IPA Effectiveness Awards, said he was "hooked on the agency's powerful 'Results Marketing' process".

The agency's clients include AXA Sun Life, Beachcomber Hotels, Betfair, Co-operative Financial Services, Glenfiddich, NTL and the Post Office.
