Premiership raps Betfair

LONDON - Betfair has been reprimanded by football's Premier League following its attempt to create the world's first 'commercial celebration'.

Premiership raps Betfair

The gaming firm is promoting TaiKai, a football prediction game, and has invented a goal celebration called 'Do the TaiKai'. It had offered £10,000 to the first Premiership footballer who did the dance.

The celebration, which begins with a Karate Kid-style 'crane' pose, is intended to spell out the 'T' and 'K' of TaiKai. Betfair sent a guide to every Premier League footballer, agent and club.

However, the Premier League has written to the FA to protest, describing the campaign as 'wholly inappropriate'.
