Power 100 2019: Steve Challouma

Marketing director, Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s and Goodfella’s, Nomad Foods

Birds Eye veteran Challouma continues to refocus the frozen-foods business’ marketing on creativity, a strategy that is paying dividends – owner Nomad Foods reported an 11% revenue increase in 2018. His remit is also growing, thanks to last year’s acquisition of frozen-potato and Yorkshire-pudding brand Aunt Bessie’s. Birds Eye’s new-found approach to creativity is also permeating its new product development strategy, with the launch last year of Mini Rainbow Waffles to mark National Unicorn Day.
