Power 100 2019: Nicola Mendelsohn

Vice-president, EMEA, Facebook

Mendelsohn’s year was overshadowed by an array of scandals at Facebook. However, she is intent on helping the social-media company win back trust as well as overseeing change. Facebook’s shift to creating a group- and community-centric social-media platform has been a particular focus for Mendelsohn and will be a priority for 2019. Mendelsohn remains a familiar face in public life outside Facebook, sitting on the UK government’s Industrial Strategy Council and The Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board. She is also a non-executive director of Diageo and co-president of the Jewish charity Norwood.
