It has been a busy year for Thomas, even by Virgin’s relentless standards. She oversaw the launch of the Virgin Group Loyalty Company, while Virgin Money was sold to CYBG, which will adopt its branding. It also struck a strategic partnership and trademark licensing deal with Brightline to run the first new major private intercity passenger railroad in the US for more than a century. Brightline was renamed Virgin Trains USA. Next year will be a further landmark: the Virgin brand turns 50 so the energetic Thomas will have plenty more to keep her occupied.
