Group chief marketing, corporate affairs and people officer, Sky
Klein, the former boss of Engine, has had a dramatic first year at Sky. She arrived in May 2018, just as the battle between Comcast and Disney to take over the Rupert Murdoch-founded pay-TV giant was about to reach its climax. South African-born Klein reports directly to long-serving group chief executive Jeremy Darroch, which means she has a highly strategic role overseeing the Sky brand and identity, corporate affairs and internal communications across Europe. She recently added oversight of human resources, too. "I really believe that what’s inside the brand is outside the brand," Klein says. She is now looking for ways for Sky to work more closely with new owner Comcast, the parent company of NBC Universal, which wants to drive efficiencies after spending £30bn on the acquisition.
