The campaign to launch Pot Noodle GTi, a range comprising Tikka Masala, Bolognese and Chilli Con Carne variants, will feature Tarquinn, a character played by 'Emmerdale' actor Gary Hanks and dubbed "Bolton’s answer to Vin Diesel".

Created by ad agency Mother, the quirky TV spot follows a series of campaigns starring Jarred Christmas and William Owen, the most recent of which promoted Pot Noodle’s Doner Kebab and Sticky Rib variants.

In each ad the comedians portray a fictional musical group named Steve and Digger.

Unilever spent £1.3m on advertising Pot Noodle in 2009, according to The Nielsen Company, achieving sales of £70.3m in the year to May 2010.
