Express Dairies, which delivers milk to homes, will now be allowed to deliver bulk mail, provide consolidation and enhanced document exchange services for the next seven years. The licence replaces the interim contract Express held.
The licence is the third the postal regulator has awarded. The others have been won by Hays Commercial Services and TPG Post UK, and will provide postal services in the UK alongside Royal Mail.
Interim licences are held by nine other companies, each of which have a minimum lifespan of 12 months.
