Plannertarium event deadline extended until Friday

LONDON - Channel 4 has extended the deadline for applications for Plannertarium II, its event for rising stars in the media planning industry, to Friday (5 June).

Plannertarium II, which is organised in association with Media Week, gives selected planners the opportunity to hear views from key figures within the TV industry.

Speakers at the event on 9 July include Channel 4 sales director Andy Barnes and Mike Parker, Channel 4 head of strategic sales and commercial marketing.

Alongside representatives from Channel 4, other speakers include Rory Sutherland, vice-chairman at Ogilvy Group; Tess Alps, chief executive of TV marketing body Thinkbox; Leon Jaume, executive creative director at ad agency WCRS, and Cameron Saunders, UK marketing director of 20th Century Fox.

Issues to be discussed include ad breaks, contextual advertising and channel association in ad breaks.

The event takes place at The Vineyard, Stockcross, Berkshire, and includes an overnight stay.
