Planit Media has signed a deal with CIA Medianetwork to provide all
1,600 staff in the agency’s 44 offices worldwide with Planit’s online
media research and planning tool.
The company claims the agreement is the largest single order for an
online media resource, and says it confirms the trend towards the use of
online resources in place of printed directories.
Fiona Kidd, research manager for CIA Medianetwork, said: ’Responsive and
reliable media databases will be increasingly important for servicing
national and international clients’ needs. Planit Media is such a
database.’
Planit Media was founded in 1997 and aims to give agencies access to the
latest rates and circulation data worldwide, enabling them to plan and
buy domestic, cross-border and international campaigns.
Its database includes 35,974 magazines in 217 business-to-business
categories, as well as 180 consumer categories. Users can search by
country, consumer or business magazine sector.
It also includes a currency converter, allowing advertising cost
comparison of magazines in different countries, and an instant media
pack request feature.
