Pitch update

After knocking Bartle Bogle Hegarty and WCRS off its pitchlist last week, Young's, the seafood specialist, is now making Mother and JWT wait with bated breath for the result. It's thought that a decision has been made by the marketing team but it has to be ratified by the company's board.

After deciding to dismantle its roster of global networks and consolidate all of its business, Dulux has now pulled together its shortlist. The paint company has asked Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, DDB, Euro RSCG and Bartle Bogle Hegarty to throw their hats in for the first round of pitches. Briefs were sent to agencies earlier this week.

Corinthia Hotels has narrowed the shortlist for its creative and media pitch to two agency pairings. The Engine Group and Carat will go head-to-head with Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer, partnered with ZenithOptimedia. Dye Holloway Murray and M&C Saatchi have been knocked out of the process.

Following chemistry meetings, Molson Coors has shortlisted four agencies to pitch for its 拢15 million media account. The incumbent, Vizeum, will compete against MediaCom, Mindshare and ZenithOptimedia for planning and buying on brands such as Carling and Grolsch.

Omnicom Media Group has decided not to pitch for the 拢211 million COI buying account. The media group, which comprises OMD and PHD and does not currently handle any of COI's buying contracts, has chosen to focus on other new-business opportunities, as well as pitching for the COI planning business later this year. Other major media groups are expected to submit their initial information ahead of COI's deadline this Friday (25 September).

In DM, Mini has invited Partners Andrews Aldridge, Rapp, Targetbase Claydon Heeley and its one-time agency, EHS Brann, to attend chemistry meetings for its customer relationship marketing account. The incumbent on the business, Lida, will go straight through to the pitch process.
