
Mother’s position as Ikea’s UK creative agency looks safe as houses – for now. The furniture retailer launched a procurement-led review at the start of the year, but shops that have booked time with the brand have said all signals suggest Ikea is happy with Mother and is just doing a bit of tyre-kicking.
Not everyone shortlisted for Budgens’ ad review was happy to continue with the process. Word reaches ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 that 18 Feet & Rising was among those invited to pitch but pulled out when it was told that Anna Burleigh, the marketing director at Budgens’ owner, Musgrave Group, was leaving the company halfway through the review. The remaining agencies are Creature, St Luke’s and The Red Brick Road.
Lloyds Bank: MEC, SMG and Vizeum pitched for owner
Pitches for Lloyds Banking Group’s £110 million media planning and buying business took place this week. Those left competing are MEC, the incumbent, along with Starcom MediaVest Group and Vizeum. The review, handled by AAR, covers Lloyds Bank, Halifax, the Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows.
Aviva: A&E/DDB, CHI, DLKW Lowe and M&C shortlisted
The shortlisted agencies on the Aviva pitch are Adam & Eve/DDB, CHI & Partners, DLKW Lowe and M&C Saatchi. The insurance company is reviewing its global creative account, which is held by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.
Pitches for Gallo Family Vineyards took place at the end of last week. It is looking for an agency to oversee work in Europe. The process is being handled by Creativebrief.
