Pitches will take place in March. Interestingly, neither Wieden & Kennedy nor Grey London got through to pitch. AAR is leading the review.

Pitches for Transport for London’s creative business took place last week, involving Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Engine, Ogilvy & Mather and VCCP. The body initially selected a longlist of ten shops, shortlisted six then knocked out Bartle Bogle Hegarty and FCB Inferno to get to the final four. The process started in July 2015 – around the same time as TfL began reviewing its media agencies.

In addition to TfL, the account includes advertising for the Greater London Authority and its services – the London Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan Police Service and the London Legacy Development Corporation. M&C Saatchi was the incumbent on TfL’s creative business but was knocked out of the pitch before tissue meetings, spelling the end of a 15-year relationship.

Lucky Generals, SapientNitro and  The Brooklyn Brothers are pitching alongside the incumbent, Iris, for Mini’s UK integrated account in early March. The review kicked off in November last year and includes CRM, digital and creative work. AAR is working with the BMW-owned brand on the process.

Spare a thought for agencies vying for the 21st Century Fox media business. The entertainment company held pitches in Los Angeles last week for the global account. However, it has since issued a separate brief for the EMEA business. 21st Century Fox originally planned to consolidate its regional media accounts into one global network when it called a review in May 2015 but is now looking at reverting to regional reviews. It could appoint agencies for EMEA, North America and Asia-Pacific separately. The brief for the £150 million EMEA business was issued to agencies on Monday and pitches are due to take place at the end of March and beginning of April. Vizeum, the incumbent, is repitching.

The NSPCC held chemistry meetings on Monday with agencies hoping to pick up its media account. Presentations are scheduled for the end of March. OMD is the incumbent.

Npower held chemistry meetings for its advertising business this week and agencies are waiting to hear who got through. The energy giant is on the verge of hiring a new marketing director and much will depend on their input. Npower currently works with McCann Manchester.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO has been awarded a brief by Nutmeg, an investment-management company that hopes to disrupt the wealth-management business with new technologies and attitudes. The multimedia campaign is set to break at the end of February.
