Pitch update: Barclaycard, Skoda, Co-op, Direct Line, and more

Three agencies are in the running for Barclaycard's ad account, Co-op launches a media review, while WCRS and TBWA\London are new entries on this year's new-business rankings.

Ongoing pitches

Barclaycard is due to set a pitch date for its ad account after whittling its agency list down from five to three shops yesterday. The incumbent, Iris, is not involved in the process, which is being handled by Oystercatchers.

Skoda UK has held chemistry meetings with agencies about its creative account, including the incumbent Fallon London. The car marque also met with Adam & Eve/DDB, Mother and Uncommon. However, Uncommon is no longer part of the process.

The Co-operative Group is reviewing its media business, putting Omnicom's Hearts & Science on alert. Rocket, which was merged with H&S earlier this year, has held the business for over a decade and last retained the account in 2012.

Direct Line Group, the insurance company, is reviewing its below-the-line business, putting MRM Meteorite on alert. The company is running the process in-house, led by director of customer marketing Katrina King, over the summer.

Initiative has won Revlon's global media business after a competitive pitch in the US. MediaCom is the incumbent.

Insurance and finance company Aviva has consolidated its digital work into a newly-created digital lead account with Be Heard Group. The agency group was appointed following a competitive pitch with two agencies. The pitch was supported by The Observatory International.

Vizeum has been chosen to handle all media planning and buying in the UK for the global conservation body WWF. The Dentsu Aegis Network agency won the account following a three-month competitive pitch process against five other shops. The review was handled by Ebiquity and the business moves from All Response Media.

Pablo has won Holland & Barrett's ad account has been tasked with developing brand strategy and campaigns following a pitch. The agency will report into Caroline Hipperson, who joined Holland & Barrett earlier this year, as reported by 北京赛车pk10 in May. The brand previously worked with Y&R London and FCB Inferno.

M&C Saatchi has won GambleAware's creative brief for a public awareness campaign to tackle gambling addicts in the making. The agency beat 18 Feet & Rising and Mother in a pitch process. The appointment does not affect 18 Feet's status as lead creative agency for the charity.

FairFX, the international payment services provider, has hired Creature to handle its creative account. The appointment marks the first time that FairFX has worked with an agency and Creature picked up the business without a pitch. 

In-house specialist Oliver UK has been appointed as the lead design agency for Spire Healthcare, a private healthcare provider. The incumbent agency is Clarity. 

Indie media agency December 19 has won the media account for upmarket furniture brand Canburg. The brand previously worked with The Specialist Works.
