The AA has confirmed that it has awarded VCCP its creative account after a three-way pitch. The motoring organisation previously used McCann London on a project basis for its advertising. In 2012, Saga – the sister company of the AA’s holding group – also appointed VCCP to its creative account.

Agencies are packing up their travel bags ahead of the pitches for Travelodge’s advertising account. CHI & Partners and McCann London are among those involved in the process, which kicked off in September. The now-defunct Rapier was the incumbent on the business. However, the budget hotel chain split with the agency before it went into administration.

18 Feet & Rising has been knocked out of the £50 million Dixons advertising review. This leaves Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Bartle Bogle Hegarty to face the incumbent, M&C Saatchi.

AMV and BBH are also due to compete against VCCP in the pitch for the RFU’s 2015 Rugby World Cup advertising account.
