On Wednesday (29 October) 25 industry guests were welcomed into the venue’s Benjamin Franklin Room where caterer Harbour & Jones Events served a selection of food and drink, followed by a theatrical overview of RSA House’s history in The Great Room, which featured a historial round-up showcased in six imposing paintings placed around the room. The paintings traced the development of civilisation, and the venue's guide described the detailed history of each painting and its meaning.
Moving through to the Durham Street Auditorium, guests enjoyed gourmet popcorn, including goat's cheese, toffee apple and sweet and salty varieties, whilse hearing about how one of London’s oldest Roman roads, which runs through the 60-seat event space, has been preserved as a key feature by the venue. The Artist was also screened in the event space during the night.
The evening rounded off with canapés including smoked salmon macaroons, chicken liver parfait cones and seared tuna on red miso pipettes, as well as a dessert wall in the Tavern Wall, which consisted of macaroon lollipops, fruit jellies, mini custard tarts, gourmet marshmallows flavoured with fresh mango, pear and blackberry and coconut and chocolate espresso.
Lavender Green provided the flowers for the event, while Vowed and Amazed supplied an oversized 'BAR' sign.
