Russ Lidstone has joined WRG as its new chief executive, taking over from David Sharrock, who will remain as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Lidstone was previously chief executive of ad agency Havas Worldwide, where he instigated the integration of digital, PR and advertising during his six-year tenure, as well as evolving the agency's social, SEO and channel capabilities.

Sam Moqbel has been hired to lead new brand experience agency Mars Events. The agency launched last year alongside sister business, The Mars Agency which focuses on shopper marketing strategy and creative. A former business leader at Cheil Worldwide, Moqbel will be responsible for driving growth and overseeing experiences for brands within the FMCG, tech and lifestyle sectors.

Greg McAlinden has moved from ODD to Space, taking up the role of creative director. He will handle all creative output for Space's clients, which include Arla Foods UK, Heineken UK, William Grant and Sons, UEFA, Wimbledon, Lufthansa and Coral, and will sit within the agency’s senior leadership team.

Rita Pham has been appointed as Brandfuel's new studio manager, while Charlotte Pearce has joined as office manager. Together the pair will work on the development of new, more refined processes to improve workflow.

Two senior hires and a promotion have been announced at the agency. Dina Green has been named its new vice-president, business director, while Andrew Thomas has joined as creative director. Elsewhere, Nate Thompson has been promoted the role of associate creative director. Green brings almost 15 years of senior-level industry experience to the role, having previously establishing her own agency as well as working for Invnt and Barclays.

Shreena Shah has been poached from Haymarket Media Group, where she was most recently employed as head of event operations, delivering events within Event’s own live portfolio. Prior to Haymarket, Shah worked as group events project manager at Theo Paphitis Retail Group.

Andrew Savill has taken up the new senior role of client development director. He joins from creative communications agency HGA, where he worked as head of business development. Prior to this, Savill was employed as business development director at WRG for almost nine years.

Laura Davies has joined as project manager, working across a range of clients and industries. Davies joins from Adding Value, where she most recently worked as client relationship manager. She has also held roles at UKFE, Shop Direct Group and Platinum Events.

Matt Schrader has been appointed managing director of strategic accounts, reporting into Scott Cullather, the agency's global managing partner. Based in the New York office, he will be responsible for developing Invnt’s sales strategy and driving revenue.

The agency added six new employees to its project delivery team in March, including former Financial Times' events manager Alice Zalwango who takes on the role of project manager alongside new recruits Gordon Reid and Niamh Gallagher. The trio will be responsible for projects for clients including Wings for Life, Parallel London and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). Elsewhere, Hollie Clarke has been appointed to the role of producer, while Tessa Harris and Conor Keable both join as project co-ordinators.
