The McVitie’s Sweeet [sic] ice cream van took to the streets yesterday (4 August) and is wrapping up its experiential campaign later today (5 August).
The brand is offering members of the public ice cream flavours such as Earl Grey Rich Tea, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Hobnob and Jaffa, derived from the tangy Jaffa Cake. Twitter users can request a visit from the vehicle by tweeting @McVitiies using the hashtag #sweeet.
The van is also touring London landmarks, while the brand is hosting a permanent sampling station at Soho Square.
Kerry Owens, United Biscuits’ acting marketing director for Sweet Biscuits, said: "We’re always looking for more versatile ways to bring our Sweeet range of biscuits to people in new and exciting ways, and while we can’t guarantee you a sizzling hot summer, we can promise [the public will] love our range of delicious, biscuit-infused ice creams."
Agency 3 Monkeys is working with McVitie’s on the campaign.
