In pictures: Martell launches limited French cognac with sensory event

Wednesday night (10 February) saw Pernod Ricard cognac brand Martell launch a limited edition bottle at the Wellington private members' club in London.

The exclusive event aimed to highlight the cutting-edge, musical roots of the La French Touch bottle, which has been created by pioneering DJ of the French house scene, Étienne de Crécy.

A total of 200 VIPs were invited to the launch in Knightsbridge to celebrate the drink. Working with M&C Saatchi Sport + Entertainment, the brand created a neon disco vibe in the space.

Visual lighting displays filtered through the room as de Crécy performed a set. UV was used so that the Martell VS, blue curacao liqueur and tonic in the night’s special cocktails glowed blue, along with the limited edition bottles on display.

De Crécy said: "[We have created] a limited edition which goes beyond the mere universe of one designer and which conveys an extra dimension, something bigger, with more energy... La French Touch. I'm very proud to have been chosen to orchestrate this limited edition."
