Those who visit the space can expect free screenings of animated festive films The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Snowman and A Charlie Brown Christmas each day from 11am, as well as feature films Elf, Home Alone and High Fidelity from 7pm, five days a week.
Lush enlisted StudioXag to transform its ground floor into a retro cinema, which is complete with red seating and tables, signage with screening information and a ‘sun drive in’ logo.
Different scents and props can be identified throughout the room, and are being used to enhance the movie experience.
Guests can also choose to munch on popcorn or more substantial dishes from an on-site tuck shop, as well as beverages.
The retailer’s Gorilla Perfumes brand is behind the activity, and references can be found throughout the ground floor space – including on pizza boxes and cinema tickets.
The cinema will remain open until Christmas eve, and bookings are essential. Cinema-goers will receive a bespoke ticket complete with illustrations of the film that they choose to see.
The brand is encouraging customers to share their experiences by tweeting @gorillaperfumes and using the #ScentedCinema hashtag.
