The event took place at The Rosewood Hotel in High Holborn, London last night (4 March) and coincided with the start of the F1 season and the launch of the 2014 Lotus car.

Guests arrived at the hotel from 7pm, where they had the chance to view and have their picture taken with a replica Lotus F1 team car, brand new for the forthcoming season, in the hotel's courtyard. The F1 experience was carried through the event with guests receiving Paddock Club-style accreditation upon registration.

The competitive spirit was reinforced with guests having the opportunity to test their driving skills with F1 simulators and their reaction times with a batak game, with prizes up for grabs.

Alongside networking, guests were also treated to a lively debate hosted by Suzi Perry, the face of the BBC One's Formula 1 programming, featuring former Formula 1 driver Johnny Herbert, Michael Taylor, deputy IT/IS director at Lotus F1 and Chris Bridgland, senior director, EMC Global Services, UK and Ireland.

Drinks and canapés were served throughout the evening, with cocktails and live cooking stations featuring Japanese, Chinese and Indian cuisine enhancing the gastronomy experience.
