The exhibition, hosted by Ocean Independence, took place at the Mall Galleries near Trafalgar Square for the world’s superyachting leaders, in partnership with global luxury and sporting brands.
Guests were invited to have their pictures taken with the America’s Cup, the oldest trophy in sport, as well as the Louis Vuitton Cup.
Speakers during the event included Nicholas Dean, managing partner of Ocean Independence, and Tom Ehman, executive director of America’s Cup Properties.
The menu consisted of canapés including tiny new potatoes filled with Label Anglais chicken with crispy bacon and topped with bread sauce and sage.
Absolute Taste also hosted earth and sea stations serving dishes such as lollipops of roasted vegetables served in pea shoots, Cornish crab cocktails and cones filled with tuna tartare and wasabi avocado.
Puddings comprised of cake pops, a selection of mini ice creams, and desserts in shot glasses and tiny Martini glasses.
Sponsors of the cocktail event included Red Bull, which hosted an exhibition focussing on the Red Bull America’s Cup Youth Challenge, and Stratstone of Mayfair, which showcased two new Aston Martin models - the Vanquish and the Rapide S - as well as a vintage DB4 Vantage. Andrew Winch Design also had two models on display.
