The event, which took place on 5 March, was held in The Apartment, a loft-style space within the Hubbard & Bell restaurant and bar in Holborn's Hoxton Hotel. Approximately 150 guests from the industry attended, alongside 22 Kru Live staff members.
The theme for the evening was loosely based on the board game Cluedo, with the agency utilising each of the rooms available in The Apartment. The Library, Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen each held their own immersive experiential activities, which included an interactive photobooth and a deconstructed cocktail shot throne.
The event was organised in-house, with Kru Live providing four Cluedo hosts to meet and greet, manage the guest list and encourage attendees to hunt out and embrace each of the rooms. In addition to the character hosts of Reverend Green, Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard and Miss Peacock, an event manager and cloakroom assistant were on hand to oversee the smooth running of the event.
Sarah Jane Benham, managing director of Kru Live said: "The Cluedo theme seemed like a natural pairing for our venue - from the very moment guests arrived they were greeted by our actors who instantly set the interactive and engaging tone for the evening. The Cluedo team encouraged our guests to explore, play and embrace individual experiences within each of the rooms."
KruTalent International, the entertainment division within Kru, supplied a varied evening of entertainment. This included a roaming acoustic band, LED hoop artist, roving magician, soul/funk function band, a Fashion Tarot Reader and a three-piece beatboxing band.
Chief executive Tom Eatenton added: "The turnout of clients, colleagues, friends and many key industry figures was quite moving and it was great to see so many letting their hair down and enjoying themselves."
