In pictures: Kipling creates third 'Spark' on London's South Bank

Kipling has teamed up with Wahaca founder and chef Thomasina Miers to unveil a brightly coloured, 12-metre long greenhouse on London's South Bank today (4 December).

of

opened its doors at 8am, and it will remain open until 9pm tonight, at which point it will close in preparation for one more day of business.

Miers will be handing out seeds inspired by the herbs housed within the greenhouse, such as rosemary, thyme and lavender until 11am today, educating passers-by about food and cooking in the process.

Members of the public are also able to select from a series of recipe cards, which include tips on how to incorporate the herbs into their own dishes at home, as well as new twists on traditional Christmas recipes.

Kipling will be donating five fruit trees from the greenhouse to ARK Franklin school following the spark, a move inspired by Miers’ commitment to educating the younger generation about food and growing their own produce.

The idea is that students will be able to watch the trees grow, care for them and learn about produce along the way.

Miers said: "I want to tell people about the joy of vegetable gardens and growing your own food. This truly sparks happiness into your ordinary everyday meal."

The stunt forms part of the brand’s Spark Your City campaign, which enlists women who are pioneers in their field to create sparks of happiness in their cities.

So far Kipling has teamed up with and to create eye-catching creations in key London locations.
