The event was launched at the Rook & Raven gallery in central London on Wednesday (4 September) and features the work of 11 artists who were commissioned to create digital art for the John Lewis Gallery.
The exhibition includes work from artists such as Luca Agnani, who created an animated version of traditional Van Gogh art, as well as the likes of Inkie, a London-based painter and street artist from Bristol, who has broken down a work of street art into digital layers for the screen.
Johnathan Marsh, head of buying at John Lewis, told Event: "We were in the airport lounge and we were thinking, how can we do all of this new technology justice? We wanted to create a platform that combined the latest technology with some great content."
Their work is being displayed on TV models manufactured by Samsung, Sony, LG and Panasonic, with the event acting as the UK launch of the Samsung Curved OLED television.
Marsh added: "The TV Gallery will allow us to showcase the superior performance of some of the world’s most advanced televisions. For our customers purchasing technology products, brilliant design and market-leading functionality are equally important."
