As part of the afternoon workshops, attendees joined a panel of experts to discuss .
The lively debate brought up key issues including the various methods and tools used to measure ROI, and whether an industry-wide standardised model should be established.
The workshop was chaired by Event's associate editor Rachel Bull, and the panel consisted of Jessica Hargreaves, joint managing director of Pretty Green; Duncan Millar, director of business development at George P Johnson; Liam Danby, head of planning for iD Experiential; and Sam Elphinstone, research director at 2CV.
Afterwards, guests gathered to enjoy an evening of entertainment from Party Pianos, as well as a private tour of the Crown Jewels.
One of the Tower of London’s yeoman wardens took guests outside to tell stories of the famous monarchs and characters associated with the London landmark including William the Conqueror, Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth I and Guy Fawkes.
Guests then ventured inside the Waterloo Block where the Crown Jewels are located to admire an eclectic selection of crowns, sceptres and diamonds as part of the exclusive viewing.
Ahead of the private tour, caterer Blue Strawberry and Table Talk provided a selection of canapés including tomato, air dried beef and parmesan marshmallows; crispy chicken skin with chicken liver parfait, mulled grapes, enoki mushrooms and pea shoots; and eucalyptus smoked lamb with ras el hanout rolled in cucumber with minted labneh and spiced dukkah crust.
The caterer also prepared a variety of drinks such as pear ginger and elderflower, pomegranate fizz and toffee apple martinis.
