Upon entry guests were ushered down a corridor lined with posters of recent ACC Liverpool Group events and into a darkened exhibition hall complete with dry ice, where speeches were given by Bob Prattey, chief executive of the ACC Liverpool Group, and Joe Anderson, mayor of Liverpool.

Spotlights then revealed performance spaces for gymnastics and acrobatic displays, which entertained the crowd, before television actor Craig Charles came rolling in on a truck, with his DJ decks ready to play for a flashmob, which was performed by staff.

Following the performances, lights were switched on to reveal food stalls, a big red bus-style drinks bar and other bar areas, picnic benches laden with deli platters, a fairground carousel, and chill out zone. A piano bar and Chef’s Table areas were also located elsewhere in the exhibition centres for visitors to find and enjoy.
