The huts, numbered 2368-2372, will be based on the sea front until September. Each showcases a print from the brand’s spring/summer 2015 or classic collection: clouds, river fish, paradise fields in cream, antique rose and button spot in raspberry.
The stunt follows Cath Kidston’s covering of Kingston’s famous falling over telephone boxes in its signature spot print, which was unveiled in 2013.
Sue Chidler, marketing director at Cath Kidston, said: "As a brand that is dedicated to brightening up peoples' day with our colourful prints, we are always looking at fun ways to bring that cheerfulness to life in a new and exciting way.
"The beach huts in Bournemouth are synonymous with the British summertime, providing an iconic landscape on our beaches, and we were incredibly excited to be able to work with Bournemouth Council to brighten up these traditional huts this summertime, with five of Cath Kidston's key summer prints."
