Manchester agency Shoppertainment brought the Barclays Premier League football trophy to the city last Friday (6 February) to mark the launch of a new store.

The stunt took place at the financial brand’s newest store, in Princes Mall, Edinburgh, featuring ‘Barclayguards’ who kept a close eye on the iconic football trophy. Shoppers had the chance to get a snap with throphy.

Entertainment on the roof of the centre throughout the day came from local Ceilidh and dance caller, Covent Garden act Spikey Will, a Scottish piper. Barclays also hosted a number of product giveaways as part of the experience.

Clare Andrew, managing director at Shoppertainment, said: "This Barclay’s promotion worked really well because of the opportunity for shoppers to see such an exclusive trophy and enjoy the various entertainers."
