More than 200 of some of the most influential people in the exhibition industry came together for the annual AEO Conference and were treated to a number of keynote seminars.
With a change to recent programmes the AEO's new chief executive Karim Halwagi opted for a schedule that featured a number of speakers from outside of the event industry who related their own expereinces and skills to the event sector.
As a result, delegates featuring everyone from NIgel Nathan, chief executive at EC&O Venues to Chris Hughes, chief executive of Brand Events, were treated to range of keynotes from economist Roger Martin-Fagg, former Olympic athletes Kriss Akabusi and Tanni Grey-Thompson and professional poker player Caspar Berry.
Complementing these sessions were UBM Live's Adrian Barrick and Nina Wright talking about the success of EcoBuild and where they intend to take the show.
