Pick of the week: Pride in London's stirring campaign reveals the purpose behind the party

Pride in London rediscovers its purpose in a powerful campaign coming 46 years after the capital's first Pride march.

The ad is a reminder that, though LGBT+ people have come a long way, true equal rights have not yet been achieved. In a moving remake of the classic song Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Pride shines a light on individuals still facing challenges such as hate crime, which is on the rise in London. But rather than ending on that sobering note, the film takes a hopeful turn to look towards a more accepting future. Well done to BMB for cutting through the noise during Pride month. This is a message that will linger long after the festivities are over.
