Anne Cassidy never thought she’d make an Early Learning Centre ad Pick of the Week, but Karmarama’s spot is too charming to resist: "The ads bring to mind Toy Story, but they still have plenty of originality and wit of their own. A sharp script and voiceover by Dana Carvey, aka Garth in Wayne’s World, give the toys tons of personality." The ads were written and art directed by Sam Walker, Joe De Souza, Tom Woodington and Robin Temple. They were directed by Hank Perlman through Hungryman.
TURKEY OF THE WEEK
Matt Williams thinks that the latest Giovanni Rana ad by Leagas Delaney ticks every box for a "Turkey": "You’ve got to admit that any commercial starring the unbearably smug and annoying presenter Tim Lovejoy is going to be bad, but with a very cheesy script and an awful ‘joke’ at the end, this spot is an absolute shocker. Ann Widdecombe was terrible as the star of the previous Giovanni Rana ad, but here Lovejoy has made her look like a brilliant and loveable actress."
