Food and drink specialist Creativevents has spent £200,000 restyling the museum’s hospitality offering.

The new suites were opened by special guest and motor racing legend Tiff Needell alongside museum director Allan Winn.

Guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the motoring village area with entertainment from a jazz band trio and a giant Scalextric.

They were able to test drive vintage cars around the grounds and step on board Concorde for a guided walk through.

Creativevents served a range of canapés and bowl food dishes including scallop ceviche served on rice spoons and fillet of venison on a bed of sauté cabbage.

The new-look Clubhouse includes the makeover of the Edwardian Napier Room with its own private balcony overlooking the Paddock. Other rooms that have been restyled include the Members' Bar and the Blue Bird Room, which celebrates Sir Malcolm Campbell’s exploits with his world-famous Blue Bird racing cars.
